God alone is Sovereign

1 Chronicles 29:11

Yours, O LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, for all that is in the heavens and in the earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, O LORD, and you are exalted as head above all.

Anna Grace - January 4 - Update #5

Just talked with the doctor - Dr. Bradley said that Anna Grace tolerated the surgery well. He said that everything he saw while he was in there was exactly what the echocardiograms showed and that there were no surprises during surgery. She is having some bleeding but that it is normal with this type of surgery. She is being moved right now back to PCICU and we will be able to see her in about an hour. He said that she just came through the first hurdle and that the next 48 hours are critical. Her chest is still open and she is on a ventilator. She is still completley sedated and will be for the next 24 hours.

Right now we need to pray that her swelling goes down quickly and that she doesn't have any complications & that they can close her chest quickly. The next thing we need to pray for is that she will be able to come off the ventilator quickly.

Thank you Lord for bringing our little girl through this major surgery. Thank you for Dr Bradley and for the entire crew who worked on our little girl this morning. Thank you friends & family for continuing to pray for our little girl.

Hey! My name is Katie Hardman and my friend Beth Caskey ( Kelley's sister-in-law) directed me to your blog. My 16 month old had open heart surgery at MUSC at one week old. As I read your blog it takes me back. The fear, the anxiety and yet this AMAZING peace! The only difference is that Marlee's heart defect was a surprise to us, but not to God! He held our hand and brought or sweet baby girl through this surgery. We were at MUSC for a month! Dr Bradley is wonderful and saved Marlee's life! Please know that I'm praying for you every step of the way! I would love to talk to you! My E-mail is Khardman83@yahoo.com. God bless you and your precious family!

So pleased to hear that she did well during surgery and is recovering. We are continuing to pray for her. You are truly in wonderful care there at MUSC. Please let us know how we can help. My MOPS group meets Thursday and I know there are others that want to help in some way. They have been calling me and texting me. We would be happy to provide a few meals or more snacks. Blankets, pillows, whatever you all need. God Bless you. I am praying for good rest tonight.
