God alone is Sovereign

1 Chronicles 29:11

Yours, O LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, for all that is in the heavens and in the earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, O LORD, and you are exalted as head above all.

Mothers Day Tea

For the last year Zachary has been attending a 4K school.  It is 5 days a week from 8:30 until 11:30.  It was a difficult start for us at the beginning of the year.... I say for US but what I really mean is for ME!  It was hard letting him go, he seemed so big and quite frankly it happened SO FAST.  I mean him growing up.  It seemed that he was just a baby yesterday and then POOF here he was off to school!

Today I attended a very special "Mothers Day Tea" at his school.  The kids have been working for weeks preparing for it.  They learned several special songs for Mothers and they made picture books and special pictures.  The kids were all asked to dress in their finest clothes today and the Moms were asked to dress up as well for this very special event.

Zachary was such a gracious little host for me today, he was very attentive and showed me everything he had made.  He was so proud of his hard work and I of course couldn't help but shed some tears of joy for this precious boy.  I am so thankful that God allowed me to be his mother.  What a blessing he is to me.

One of the "projects" for the Moms was a little paragraph the kids dictated to their teacher about their Mom.  The teacher wrote all of these out for each of the Moms and it is very interesting how I was seen in the eyes of my little boy.  Here is what Zachary said about me....

"My Mom has brown hair and brown eyes.  She weighs 20 pounds and is 26 years old.  My mom looks pretty on Mondays and my favortie thing to eat that she cooks is mashed potatoes.  My Mom likes to go out to eat to restaurants and her favorite thing to do is cook."

Very interesting how I am seen through my Son's eyes!!!! It was a very special morning and I am so grateful that I was able to go. Our sweet Bethany came to the house this morning to watch Anna Grace so that I could go. My heart is overflowing with gratefulness today. What a blessing!  Thank you LORD for the gift of my children :)
