God alone is Sovereign

1 Chronicles 29:11

Yours, O LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, for all that is in the heavens and in the earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, O LORD, and you are exalted as head above all.

Heart Mom Night Out

Just a word about our Heart Moms Night Out last night..... AWESOME! There were 5 of us moms who ventured out into the frozen tundra to get together, meet, visit share our stories and begin building friendships that I am sure are going to last a lifetime! We decided that we will meet monthly... the first Friday of every month from 7-9 pm. So.... if you're interested in joining us in the future just mark the first Friday of every month on your calendar as your Heart Mom Night Out! Leave me a comment and I will get in touch with you about our location.

I will say that I was so blessed to have met these five Moms last night. They are AMAZING women with amazing strength, compassion, endurance and an enourmus amount of love for their kids. They each have uunique special stories to go along with their special heart babies.

I like my BLOG, e-mail and even Facebook too on occassion.... but NOTHING beats a face-to-face visit with a REAL hug!!! I am so thankful that I was able to go last night....

Tina,
Again, thank you so much for getting this group together. It is soooooo needed and I enjoyed it so much! You're absolutely right - online friends are great but face-to-face friends are the best!
Heart hugs,
Pam

Hi! I happened to come across your blog. My daughter also has HRHS among other defects. I have my own little group of heart blogs I look at that is in my area so its nice to come across new ones once in a while. I would love to stay in contact and hear more of your story. I saw a couple of posts that your daughter had the Norwood even having HRHS? My email you can reach me at is chdmom@ymail.com! Thank you!!!

BTW - I LOVE the idea of doing a monthly dinner that you guys set up. The closest person to me that has a child with CHD is my neighbor. Then after that the next closest is 2 hours away. So doable for us to arrange something I guess, but a little harder. :)

Hey Tina! I'm glad you all had fun on your night out! :)

It's been a few days (or maybe a week...I lost track) but I wanted to touch base with you about the breakfast. Will you shoot me an email? carolinacarters at gmail dot com. Thanks!

Hi Tina,
Beth Button here. Didn't have your email, but keep up with you all here. Anyway, to make a long story as short as possible, I was wondering if you and some of your heart friends might be able to pray for another heart baby. My brother adopted from Haiti and right now they have a 6 month old girl struggling to live. She may also have Down's. But anyway, they are trying to get her a medical visa to come here. Her name is Sonia, her story is listed at http://godslittlestangelsinhaiti.org/2011/01/21/sonias-echocardiogram-a-medical-update/
This isn't the whole thing, but I am sure you would understand much of what they saw in the reports. If you have any questions, PLEASE call or email. Thanks!
~Beth:)
