Our family chose last week to start quarantine which would give us 3 weeks prior to AG's heart surgery to stay and be well. However, the day we started quarantine Zachary became symptomatic of a cold. Nothing serious, just a common cold with the runny nose, stuffy, nose and cough. As you would expect, Anna Grace and I have also caught the cold. (Sniff, sniff, cough)
I called Dr. R today to let him know about AG's cold just to be sure it's not going to be an issue still having surgery on November 9. I left a message with his nurse and haven't heard back from him yet.
So, as soon as I know something I'll post an update. As long as the cold doesn't turn into anything more serious - like an ear infection or sinus infection then she should be over it about a week before surgery, but I'm not sure if that's OK or not. Or... if they might want to start her on an antibiotic just to head things off at the pass so to speak.
So, in the meantime, the kids and I are just hanging around the house doing homeschool in the morning and spending our afternoons playing in the backyard and having a campfire.... everyday!
I did mention to the kids the other day that I think a swing set might be a good investment for our backyard so I think I'll start checking out craigslist to see what I can find.
Thank you all for continuing to pray for us! I'll keep you posted on what Dr R says.
We know that God is soverign and we trust His timing in this!
God alone is Sovereign
1 Chronicles 29:11
Yours, O LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, for all that is in the heavens and in the earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, O LORD, and you are exalted as head above all.
