But what comes out of the mouth proceeds from the heart, and this defiles a person.
This verse really stood out to me today. The Lord used someone close to me about three and half years ago to use this verse to help me to start thinking and looking closely at my heart. About six months later God saved me. What comes out of the mouth lives in the heart is something good to meditate on. A couple of other things to ponder about:
What does your heart desire?
How do you speak to others?
Do you have compassion towards others?
What are your inward thoughts like?
We might look good on the outside, but what lives deep within our hearts? Just something to think about…
