This past Friday night my buddy Mike Styles and I were in downtown Greenville fishing for lost souls. Once downtown we scouted the area to see where the good spots were and happened across some other brothers in Christ laboring the streets as well. They were walking around handing out Gospel tracts to as many people who would take them. We ended up having a great conversation with them about how to evangelize, why more people don’t evangelize, and the things of God. It was a blessing to me seeing others reaching out to strangers on the street. We prayed for them and we parted ways.
We ended up having some great conversations. We spoke with two homeless men and were able to clearly share the Gospel with both, and had the opportunity to share with about 12 others as well.
The highlight came at the end of the night. I had decided to bring my video camera along to possibly do some spiritual interviews. The plan was to try and get someone talking about spiritual things as I interviewed them. The goal behind the video is really this - I hope the video will encourage others to reach out and witness about the glory of Christ. I pray someone might be emboldened by watching me stumble my way through a conversation with someone and hopefully show how easy it is to talk about the things of God.
The video posted up here is an 11 minute clip of Rickey Craig. He did repent and trust Christ after the camera was shut off, so please pray for him. I pray this clip will be an encouragement to you. God bless…
God alone is Sovereign
1 Chronicles 29:11
Yours, O LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, for all that is in the heavens and in the earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, O LORD, and you are exalted as head above all.
