I am of course a little nervous (understatment) as to what Dr. R will find on the echo and of the talks we will surely be having regarding getting the ball rolling for the Fontan. Last Wednesday Anna Grace started running a fever. 102.3 to be exact. We got a letter in the mail on Saturday from the insurance company saying thay had approved Anna Grace for Synagis this winter! If you're not familiar with what Synagis is - it is a medication given my monthly injections which helps the body develop antibodies against RSV. Anna Grace's cardiologist decided that the best thing to do was to reschedule her appointment to August 16 to give her the best opportunity to be calm during her echo. So.... no cardiology tomorrow. Hopefully by August 16 she'll be fully recovered from her strep and off the antiobiotics. I do think that I'm going to quarantine her until after her echo just to be sure we keep her well and that

Anna Grace started running a fever on Thursday night. Friday I called the doctor. She had no other symptom and was acting like herself, just running a fever.... hanging out around 102. A year ago today we were at MUSC celebrating the Fourth of July from Anna Grace's hospital room. She was recovering from her Glenn. Today Anna Grace had a cardiology check-up. It has been 3 months since her last cardiology check-up and that is the LONGEST we have ever been between cardiology check-ups. I know it has been a LONG time since I've posted. We have been sick, sick, sick with the stomach virus and we are just now starting to recover. It has been like 12 days or something crazy like that. It's Friday morning and I just got back from taking Anna Grace to the doctor. I've spent most of the morning today on the phone with the insurance company.... it's been my part-time job since Anna Grace has been born. We had our Heart Mom Night Out last night and there were 5 of us Heart Moms there. It was great getting together with these ladies and just chatting about heart stuff. Collectively we have a GREAT amount of knowledge about the heart and it is so nice to talk about our children's hearts without having to explain what words mean... what acronyms stand for.... where blood flow goes.... etc, etc.

We just got back from the doctor for another round of Synagis injections for Anna Grace. As soon as we walked in the door to the doctor's office she started crying, not just whimpering or fussing but all out CRYING. She knows. Just a few random things I wanted to mention.....I am sorry to say, but Huggies Little Movers do not hold a candle to Pampers Cruisers. I just had to tell my 4 year old son "Do not play with the neighbor children". I hated saying the words. I never thought I would ever utter such words to my children. I know that my 4 year old does not really understand WHY he can not play with them... they are outside having a great time and he is outside and they WANT him to play with them and he WANTS to play with them. So, two days ago I stopped checking Anna Grace's temp evey two hours. I have 7 days of rectal temps taken every two hours and I know that she reads normal after naps and waking in the morning and that her core body temp rises after playing to 99.9 - 100.2. Once she sits down and rests for 30 minutes it goes down again. I am comfortable not following up with blood tests because I really do not

So I haven't posted in the last few days because I haven't known what to post. Anna Grace has still been running fevers, not high... the highest they've been are 100.6 but still fluctuating throughout the day between 98.6 and 100.6.
